Healthier people. Stronger communities. A brighter Africa.
Since 2008, Tiba Africa Consortium has worked alongside communities in 17 Kenyan counties on health, water, sanitation, climate resilience and emergency relief, so that people can lead their own development.

Health, water and resilience, built with communities
Our work points in one direction: toward communities that can take charge of their own development. These are the places we focus.
Health, water and sanitation
Quality health services, clean water and safe sanitation for communities that are too often left behind.
Education and protection
Support for learners, and for the safeguarding systems that keep children and families safe.
Advocacy and human rights
Standing up for the rights and dignity of vulnerable people, and giving communities a voice in decisions that affect them.
Climate smart, innovative and creative
Practical adaptation and mitigation that protects livelihoods and builds resilience to a changing climate.
Mitigation and emergency relief
Fast, coordinated response when drought, floods or other emergencies strike.
Capacity building
Training and mentoring for community groups, health workers and local institutions so change lasts.
A world where communities lead their own development
We strengthen access to critical resources and services for vulnerable and left-behind Africans, while supporting the sustainable development of a safe, inclusive and prosperous society.
Integrity
We do what we say, and we hold ourselves to account.
Inclusivity
Everyone belongs in the conversation, especially people who are usually left out.
Transparency
We are open about how resources are used and what they achieve.
Sustainability
We build solutions communities can keep running without us.
Local, evidence driven and inclusive
Good health starts in the community, so that is where we start. Every programme is shaped by the people it serves and measured by what it changes for them.
Locally led
Decisions are made close to the people who live with the results.
Evidence driven
We track what works and adapt quickly when something does not.
Safe, diverse and inclusive
Women, children, people with disabilities and marginalised groups are designed in from day one.
