About Tiba Africa
A Kenyan consortium working with communities on health, water, sanitation, climate resilience and relief since 2008.
Who we are
Tiba African Consortium (TAC) was founded in 2008 and operates under the NGO Coordination Act of 1990. We design and deliver community development projects with a strong focus on health, water and sanitation, climate change mitigation, and emergency relief.
Our teams are based in Nairobi and work in 17 counties, in partnership with communities, national institutions and international development agencies.
Our vision
A world in which communities are empowered to take charge of their own development.
Our mission
To strengthen access to critical resources and services for vulnerable and left-behind Africans, while supporting the sustainable development of a safe, inclusive and prosperous society.
The values behind our work
These four commitments guide how we plan, spend, report and partner.
Integrity
We do what we say, and we hold ourselves to account.
Inclusivity
Everyone belongs in the conversation, especially people who are usually left out.
Transparency
We are open about how resources are used and what they achieve.
Sustainability
We build solutions communities can keep running without us.
Working alongside leading development partners
Our programmes are strengthened by long-standing relationships with funders, implementing agencies and national institutions.
